Sarb Jit Singh, SS

July 31, 1944 – April 25, 2016

SS Sarb Jit Singh Khalsa began his Dharmic path in 1971. He lived a life of service—to the animals,  to the birds, to the gardens, and to the land wherever he lived. He married Sarb Jit Kaur in 1971 and began an Ashram in Oklahoma City where he created a Golden Temple Natural Foods Store and restaurant. He became a minister in 1973. He took excellent photos especially of the Golden Temple when he visited in 1976. In 1985 he moved to Millis and finally to New Mexico in 1991. He lived at Ram Das Puri where he created a garden masterpiece which the Siri Singh Sahib noted every time he drove into the camp. He loved his animals, his gardens, and the sound of Gurbani Kirtan.

He is survived by his wife, Sarb Jit Kaur, who still lives at Ram Das Puri tending the birds, gardens and cats.
